Frequently asked questions
Is the comparison case-sensitive?
Not by default: "Apple" and "apple" count as the same line. Only the comparison ignores case - the line that is kept keeps its original capitalisation. Turn on "Case sensitive" to treat them as different lines.
What does natural sort do?
It compares embedded numbers by value instead of character by character, so item2 comes before item10. A plain A-Z sort puts item10 first because "1" sorts before "2".
How does keep first vs keep last work?
When a line appears more than once, "Keep first" leaves it where it first appeared and "Keep last" leaves it at the position of its final occurrence. The order of the remaining lines is otherwise unchanged unless you pick a sort.

No. Everything happens in your browser. The shuffle uses crypto.getRandomValues(), the browser's secure random source, and nothing is sent to a server.
